Elavate me,words!

 Words, words
They are sweet like candy
And stretch like taffy
From your mouth to my ear
I push my worries to the rear
Until I find out
What they were truly about
Words, words
I am whole, not a fraction
No meaning without action.

Words, words
They are a bitter lemon
To my soul, a mindless felon
Disguised in its intent
You’re insecure, without precedent
Until I find out
What they were truly about
Words, words
The anger you feel is of thy self
Cut off that tongue, place it on the shelf.

Words, words
They are a midnight storm
My mind shift from the norm
And so I hide in the shadows
A playful day? No, I do not belong in the meadows
Until I find out
What they were truly about
Words, words
Mind my inner speech, for my inner self is always listening
As she’s carves through the stones in search of a diamond,
Glistening.

Words, words
They are a calm sunny day
I wake up and hear the birds’ joyful play
As the sun ushers in the morning
Away with my mourning
Until I find out
What they were truly about
Words, words
I craved to hear you, Great One, once again
You give me peace, tranquility, and an essence of being
I truly hope it wasn’t all in vain.

Words, words
Deception. Intention. Perception. Elevation.
