 HOW ZOOM AND GOOGLE MEET TECHNOLOGY HAS BECOME A TOOL FOR ADVANCEMENT OF GLOBAL BUSINESS

Technology is now a crucial part of our lives, creating a departure when people, especially in Africa, were skeptical about digital way of life.   Even the leap to millennium transition from 1999 to 2000 attracted rumors of how a particular bug would destroy functioning by computers, including those controlling nuclear warheads in the USA.

 After all the rumors and worries, nothing happened.  It even led to an increase in the use of computers, emails, and mobile phones that, after time, brought the addictive social media. Video conferencing technology like Skype came later, and now we have new apps to communicate over the internet. Zoom and Google Meet are now the in-thing in terms of video conferencing solutions. Their development coincided with the onset of Covid-19, when everyone was in dire need to maintain social distance. The panic led many organizations to require most of their staff to work from home.

  Zoom and Google Meets are helping to advance global business in these three ways.

1.      Allows teams to work remotely

You can use Zoom for hours when managing a team virtually.  Business owners can now hold a meeting with their employees at different places without sending multiple messages on hangouts, phone, emails, or call whenever an issue arises. Meeting over video creates a human connection regardless of location. Managers and other employees now take advantage of video conferencing to create a collaborative culture as people at different places can see each other. Participants make decisions faster, unlike when everyone gets a message separately, and some take more time to respond.

2.      Reduces   operational cost

Zoom and Google Meet is the type of technology you can utilize from any place with a device that can access the two. It is a good way for global businesses to engage in meetings without employees traveling long distances.  It is far cheaper than funding trips by road, sea, or air. Often, participants also have to spend a moment in hotel rooms when they are away from their usual work station.  Companies can save a lot of money because the traveling reduces. Those who take a trip between countries will do it only for an important reason.

3.      Enhances business deals

 Many global businesses would have stalled after the ban on international air travel if there was no reliable way to communicate with clients, suppliers, and business partners.  Email and phones have been in use, but they have more risk of misunderstanding. Trading requires much trust. The video function of Zoom or Google meets allows a participant to watch body language and facial expression.  Both ‘speak’ a lot about a person even without uttering words. You can tell if the person is sincere, interested, bored, or confident.

Zoom and Google meet has become the in thing not just in business but also in government (serikali) that we all along heard is so secretive that it is siri kali (a big secret).  The success in recent times shows the technology will be in place for long and we can even expect some improvements

There is such a thing as narrative poetry,occasioned by the fact that most poets are also story tellers,hence the poems have elements of narration.Narrations to a poem is however a different subject,and involves a reader getting to deduce the narrative from a poem.
